CJC-1295 with Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) is a GHRH analog modified with a Lys(DAC) residue that forms a covalent bond with circulating albumin, dramatically extending its half-life to approximately 6–8 days. This creates sustained GH and IGF-1 elevation, making it a unique long-duration GHRH research compound.
CJC-1295 DAC binds GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs to stimulate GH release. The DAC moiety (maleimidopropionic acid) reacts with the Lys-38 of albumin, forming a stable covalent bond that protects the peptide from proteolytic degradation. This creates a depot-like pharmacokinetics profile with continuous low-level GH stimulation, resulting in sustained IGF-1 elevation for research into prolonged GH axis activation.
Research includes sustained GH axis stimulation, long-duration IGF-1 studies, body composition research, anti-aging GH models, comparison against short-acting GHRH analogs, pharmacokinetic modeling of albumin-binding depot strategies, and muscle and bone metabolism studies.
